September 6, 2017

On September 5, 2017, the President and CEO of Konecranes, Panu Routila, represented the company as he led the NASDAQ stock market opening ceremony at the Nasdaq MarketSite Studio in Times Square, New York City.

“It is a great pleasure to have the honor of ringing the opening bell as a representative of the 18,000 women and men of Konecranes,” Routila said. “We are excited to continue building our business here in the US and around the world.”

Routila spoke of the company’s pride at being listed on the exchange: “As we grow on a global basis, we know that Nasdaq will provide us the level of market efficiency, service and other support that we need to build value for our shareholders and all who benefit from our success,” he remarked.

Nasdaq in turn praised the efforts of Konecranes in areas such as safety, productivity and sustainability.

Konecranes has been listed on Nasdaq Helsinki since 1996 and is on its 21st year of being traded on the stock exchange.
