Minimizing our products’ energy consumption

How do we minimize the product’s energy consumption?

At Konecranes, we are committed to environmental responsibility and always strive to minimize the environmental impact of our operations and products.

Crane’s lifecycle phase: Product use

When used, electrically powered hoists and cranes might create carbon emissions, depending on their electricity source. As we strive to minimize the environmental impact of our products at Konecranes, we pay attention on the energy efficiency of our products.

Example of actions

Konecranes’ advanced technology provides high mechanical and electrical efficiency which reduces the crane’s overall energy consumption. Smart Features and process automation improve productivity, and further reduce energy consumption. For example, a fully automated crane with Konecranes DynAReg regenerative braking can recapture up to 30 percent of the crane's braking energy, helping to decrease the overall energy consumption.
